When you have a newborn, a baby seat/swing is really helpful, so you can have baby near you when you are doing other things and know they are safe and comfortable without your having to hold them. This baby swing seat has a lot of positive – and a couple of negative – features. The seat can either be used as a soothing vibrating seat (the swing feature is easily locked) or as a swing with five speeds, plus a timer for 30, 45 and 60 minutes settings; which seemed a little long to me. However, the swing does turn off after about 90 minutes if you don’t switch it off, and that is a nice safety feature. Like so many of these items, this plays ‘melodies’ and has 8, rather tinny tunes, plus three different nature sounds, which is nice. There is also a toy bar and it has one small plush toy and does have loops to attach more toys, which is a really nice touch – it means you can change them and make the swing more interesting as your baby gets more aware...

Baby's favourite new seat!, 20 July 2015

This is a wonderful seat and baby absolutely loves it - lots of smiles and excited giggles. It's great that you can convert between a swing and a vibrating seat but baby seems to prefer the swing. The music/nature sounds are wonderful and the little lion looks super cute - baby was captivated by it. The seat is nice and comfy, with good adjustment in the straps. Everything feels like it's good quality and sturdy, which is comforting when you're putting your precious little bundle of joy in it.The seat is suitable for babies from 3kg-9kg (or 6lbs-20lbs) but I had to read this in the instruction leaflet as I couldn't find this info anywhere else so it's worth bearing in mind if your baby is approaching the upper weight limit. The seat is rather fiddly to put together but more than worth it when the end result is a happy, smiling baby who just loves their new seat!This is definitely baby's favourite new seat!

I've been very impressed with this seat. I've found that sometimes when you're buying an item in neutral colours they can look a bit bland but not so with this, it has a neutral but tasteful colour scheme. It comes with a dangly lion toy attached to it but there is space for other toys to be added should you wish to.

It will take a baby from 6lb to 20lb safely, with added padding for younger babies which can be removed as they grow. It also has a 5 point safety harness to fasten them in so you know that your baby is secure.

You are able to use this just as a baby seat, or you have the choice between vibrate and swing mode. I have to admit, my little one isn't entirely convinced by the vibrate mode (and I can't blame her) but I'm sure it'll be preferred by some babies out there. There are also 8 melodies that can be played and 3 nature sounds. Having the variety helps to prevent the insanity brought on by having the same one song playing over and over and over...
