OK, cheap finish but great door to door delivery., 12 Dec. 2014

I read the only other review but went ahead as I've moved too far away from ikea to get there easily and it seemed the glass of wine I had worked. This shelf is put together much the same way as ikea furniture and if you are familiar with ikea you don't need the instructions. The good and bad:

Good

A) delivered to your door, seriously what could be better than that?

B) easy to assemble

C) does the job of providing shelves in the children's room (by this I mean its not an item of furniture you will ever want to use to display your ming vases on)

Bad

A) cheap materials which chip really, really easily on assembly. Wow ikea stuff is amazing

B) expensive for what it is

C) weirdly the shelves don't fasten to the little toggles they sit on so they can slide back and forth somewhat. Ikea stuff is recessed here so the shelf fits onto the toggle and stays there

D) not overly sturdy and doesn't come with bracket to fasten to wall for...

great item, 1 Feb. 2013

Was slightly smaller than i imagined it would be, but my couch was bigger than i imagined so what do i know lol. Well this shelf is nice and clean and sturdy. Works really great as shelves for putting things on books and toys so the kids room will be tidier. Well that was the idea but if anyone discovers this magical secret, let me know! This shelf is just a shelf not a miracle machine lol
