Awful Service, Damaged Goods, Poor Quality, 11 Jun. 2013

I ordered this cot over a bank holiday weekend and received an order & delivery confirmation almost immediately as the item was shown as 'in stock' with Linens Limited. However, 2 days later I got a call from their supplier (Izziwotnot) offering me a delivery date about 6 weeks later! They only agreed to 'see what we can do' when I said that I'd actually got a delivery confirmation showing delivery within another 2 days. They promised me a call back to confirm when the cot would be delivered but never did (I had to call them).

To be fair the cot did arrive within the 4-5 days promised by Linens Limited but unfortunately it was delivered with significant damage. The end peices, base and side rail were all damaged with deep scratches and dents. I suspect that I was sent either a previous customer return or an ex-display unit as I had insisted on a quick delivery.

The quality of the cot bed is to a high standard and looks lovely in my daughters bedroom (hence the star rating). It was also relatively easy to assemble. The downside however is the poor (and lack of) communication between the parties dealing with the item which meant consistent and regular calling and being passed to and from different companies, resulting in the cot bed being delivered circa 2 weeks after purchase despite having a 5 - 7 day turnaround time which was very disappointing.
