Lovely looking item, but more expensive than others on the market. I wouldn't say this keeps food warm for up to eight hours. Four to five is the absoloute max. You don't get any instructions with the item, but reading reviews on other items, you need to fill it with boiling water for 10 minutes before use, them warm the food up to boiling point before putting it in the container. After four hours the food is warm to eat, so i imagine it would be cold after eight.
