We rely on these cotton buds. We have tried others, including supermarket own-brands, but keep coming back to these.
The most common use for these is to clean wax out of ear canals but please be aware that this is not recommended. Wax is there for a reason - it provides protection from fungi, bacteria and water. If you remove it, you increase the chance of suffering from an outer ear infection. Worse still, you can poke your eardrum with it and perforate it. Repeated cleaning with cotton buds can also compact the earwax together causing hearing loss.
A relative used to suffer from repeated outer ear infections when on holiday, after swimming. It turned out to be because he was constantly removing earwax from his ears.
