For sterilisers you do need to descale this unit every 4 weeks, use 1 sachet with 150-200 mls of water. Take everything out of the unit, and place the water and a the contents of te sachet and switch on for 2-3 minutes. Kettles: Half fill a kettle and boil, then empty 1-2 sachets (10-20 gms) into the kettle and let it stand for about half an hour. Reboil and pour away the water, reboil with fresh water and pour away. The kettle is ready for use again. Please refer to any manuals that came with your appliances for specific usage about cleaning. The best descaler solution on the market by far - and at such a reasonable price! I've used these time & time again to descale my baby's bottle steriliser & our kettle (I find two sachets work best for the kettle) & the same perfect results each time. Can't recommend this excellent product enough!

The product says just one treatment (one sachet) will bring up a kettle/steriliser "as good as new" but this isn't quite the case. I used two sachets and despite following the manufacturer's instructions to the letter, found it wasn't adequate to remove all of the lime scale from the kettle. You add the sachets to water inside the kettle, boil and leave half an hour, reboil, then discard and refill with fresh water, which is boiled again. I did this but found I needed to boil and rinse additional times before going at the lime scale with a table knife to get the majority of it off. The glowing 5 star reviews written here all sound suspiciously alike, don't you think? Maybe you need to use Danmark with a "Tommee Tippee steriliser" to get the orgasmic results they all seem to have had!
