Kidsleep Globetrotter - Infant Wake Up Indicator. Completely portable. Just like it's older sister, the Kidsleep Globetrotter works by showing children in a simple, easy-to-understand way when it is time for them to get up, and when they should be staying in bed. When the child wakes up they simply look at the clock face - and the lit image on it will either show a sleeping sheep (time to go back to sleep!) or a wide-awake sheep (time to get up!). The Kid'sleeo Globetrotter has a lightweight compact design that's ideal for traveling both at home and abroad, its runs completely off 4 AA batteries.

At last - a sturdy, silent, dim sleep trainer!, 15 Oct. 2009
The principle behind sleep trainers is sound, but the build quality on many is just not good enough. The noisy Thomas the Tank Engine and Bunny sleep trainers' mechanism to change the day/night images woke my little boy up! Initially the larger, mains version of this one was ok but bulbs blew easily and then it didn't work at all, even with new bulb. The daytime light was also too bright - enough to wake my son up on the very occasional morning he slept past 6.15!Although battery-powered, I would highly recommend this - much more sturdy, portable, and a much dimmer light. The battery has also lasted months, so no problem about lack of mains power. After many attempts we now have a product we're happy with, which is used all the time, not just when we're away from home. No need to buy another one!

Great little clock, small design glitch, 3 April 2010

We've been using sleep trainer clocks (of varying designs) with our 3 children for a couple of years now, with great success. We recently bought one of these Kidsleep Globetrotters to take on holiday to France with a view to doing away with the need for two mains adaptors and a separate nightlight and I really think it does the job. The clamshell case is great. The light makes the relevant picture easy to see in the dark and does shine just brightly enough to be a nightlight in an ordinary (double) sized room. The ability to choose between silent mode and an alarm function is definitely a blessing on those mornings when there is an outside chance that the kids might sleep in! And the alarm itself is delightful: a series of bird cheeps and song followed by a realistic cockerel crowing - it wakes the children up laughing (which in itself is a sound I don't mind hearing in the morning).

The only bad point, in my opinion, is the design of the setting buttons on the back. It is very...

You will take this from my cold dead hands, 4 Mar. 2011
My little boy is a nightmare sleeper, and when he took to getting up at 4am I was in some despair. This item has genuinely made a difference. It took him a couple of weeks to grasp the point (he's 2 years 2 months) but he now fully understands about not getting up till the sheep does, and will proudly point out each morning that the sheep is awake. (We've combined this with a star chart for extra excitement.) It's helped that he has a big sister in the same room to explain the principle, but this has definitely worked even at his young age.The cartoon character is great, the battery power means that the kids can pick it up and hold it without yanking out any leads, and we've turned switching it on/off into a little ritual that reinforces the message for him.He is now getting up at 6.25, not 4am, and I can see in colour again. I endorse this product!
