Excellent DIY gift project, 22 Feb. 2014

This little device formed the basis of the main present I gave to my GF last year. She loved it! I have no musical composing background or understanding, but, by trial and error and a lot of sellotape, I managed to construct a tiny music box that played one of her favourite pieces of music.Overall the device is well made and the principle of making music for it ridiculously simple to grasp, I can definitely recommend this product.

Brilliant! Very easy to use with clear instructions. I got this so I could study how it works and then build my own version of a wurlitzer... as you do. This music makes a lovely sound and comes with a pre punched music sheet ready to play out of the box as well as spares. To make the sound louder, just place it on a table, box, tin... (acts as a sound resonator /amplifier).

Great sound, beautifully constructed, 11 Jun. 2013

I needes a DIY music box for a project and found this one. Two octaves, but lacks accidentals. Managed to work around it, through. Tuning is perfect, and there's 3 strips for you to start composing right away. I used a piano roll view (from the linux LMMS package) for composing and printed my own strips because I needed a really long reel (you can just tape one strip after the other and get whatever length you need).
