I can't praise this cradle enough. The rocking motion of the cradle mimicks the movement inside mum's womb and helps baby have the best sleep possible... If baby turns or moves in the night the gentle motion lulls baby back to sleep. It has a flat base, which some of the baby nests I looked at don't. And the base can be angled, which is a godsend when baby has a cold in the winter or if your baby has reflux, as mine did, and can't be put to sleep flat. I also bought the canopy, which it turns out, meant dad (or a babysitter!) could rock baby to sleep and baby didn't know it wasn't mum, which meant I could have a break and keep my sanity!My babies slept fabulously in this cradle from birth to six or seven months. It's not cheap but it's the one piece of kit I would say to anyone to invest in!
