Material is great nice soft cotton and flows just right for holidays. I'm 5"5 the front just above my ankles the back doesn't touch the floor so no trip hazard. More of a short maxi thEn midi. It fits fabulously across the bust I'm a size 14/16 and then is quite baggy. Pattern exactly as described. Really pleased with it considering the price was so cheap
