My children both slept on sheepskins when they were babies (31 and 29 years ago). I never ever had trouble with my babies fussing at night, and they both slept through the night from about 2 months of age. My elder daughter has just had her first baby, and I suggested that she sleep him on a lambskin. He loves it! It is so soft and snuggly, and keeps the baby cool or warm as needed. Also the baby associates it with bed, and knows that when he's on it, it's time for sleeping. Good for setting a bedtime routine in the evenings. I can see that he may be sleeping on it still at 10, as did my younger daughter!!! Even now she loves any sheepskin she comes across!!! The lambskin fleece was ready to use immediately, and there have been no problems with excess fluff. It's also really easy to clean up any possets. I would recommend these lambskins unreservedly.

We bought this for my son when he was 8 weeks old and we couldn't be without it! It's soft, non itchy and shorn to just the right height. It's fantastic for lining the buggy and the pushchair (we have a Phil & Teds and it's perfect, especially in flat mode since he has outgrown the Cocoon), in his rocker, on the floor and on his playmat and even his cot on really cold nights (with a sheet over). It's really snug and comfy and our son loves it.
