This is one of great toys by Lewo we own. I have two little girls so educational toys are essential. When abacus arrived my girls started playing with it straight away. It is wooden and I appreciate wooden toys a lot. It looks sturdy and durable, very well made. Girls and I loved the design, colours and an adorable dragon on each side of abacus. Basic mathematical operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are solved by simple movement of beads in this instrument. My older one goes to school and she understands simple math operations already, but younger one just started learning and follows her sister. It is also great for colour recognition. Abacus develops speed and accuracy in mathematics using very basic methods. This naturally develops aptitude and liking for Mathematics within a very short period. This Lewo Dinosaur Abacus arrived nicely presented in a colourful product box and described as a Dinosaur Math Toy. It stands 26.5cm high, 18cm across and has a depth of 11cm at the bottom of the abacus. The wood used is exceptionally solid to withstand rough play. The main body of the abacus is a bright rich blue. Two thick wooden dowels support the toy top and bottom for extra strength. On each side of the abacus there is a cheerful green dinosaur (looking very like a dragon). In between the dinosaurs there are 10 wooden rows of 10 coloured beads, 100 beads in all. All the beads move smoothly along the wooden dowels making it easy for little fingers to count them.
For young children, this abacus is a great play learning toy. My grandson has just turned 4 and is learning to count, so this toy is perfect for him. His eyes lit up when he saw it, and he immediately wanted to count the beads. And with its gorgeous bright...

As a mum of two very dinosaur mad boys who are just starting to show an interest in counting, this item fits our needs very well.
This wooden 'dinosaur' abacus comes very nicely boxed and arrived undamaged. The product itself is well made and very sturdy and the whole thing is very lightweight. This is brilliant as it means it can be transported by the boys easily with no cries for assistance.
The abacus is fully self supporting and does not rock when stood. The rows of colourful counting beads slide nicely across the dowel wood and it is all finished to a nice standard. The paint is also highly finished with no missing bits. As well as learning numbers it is also encouraging colour recognition as the beads are all painted brightly in different colours per row. It also practises their fine motor skills of hand eye coordination which is very important in childrens development.
