I think it's better to think of this as a lantern than a light because having a handle makes carrying it very easy for children - and this is a the big difference to a normal nightlight that just sits there.My daughter picks this up and takes it to the toilet at night; the glow is perfect - it's bright enough to light up a dark room so you can see, but teh colour of the plastic means it's not blinding - a perfect compromise.My only gripe would be that the on/off button underneath the owl is a bit tricky to find at night in the dark - the middle of the owl would have been a bitter location. That said, my 3 year old isn't bothered by it and she ficks it on/off quicker than I do, and that's what's important.

Requires 3 AAA batteries.On/off button on the bottom of the product. 20min auto switch off.Works with one single LED, not too bright, but works perfectly as a night light.No detachable or sticking out parts, so you can leave it with the little one overnight.My little girl loves it very much.

My daughters use this to go to the toilet with this in the night time. They walk down the dark hallway with this perfectly light the way and when they go into the bathroom they don't even turn the light on! This is really great - it has a handle and for children a bit scared of the dark but who do go to the loo at nights this is perfect as u then don't have to keep the hallway light on.
