It says universal but its not if u read it properly it saysLindam Sure Shut Gate Extension is compatible with the Lindam Sure Shut Axis GateSo its not it fits just one gate in my eyes that's not universal. I should of read it properly

Perfectly okay add on, I just wish they manufactured a wider gate, I had to buy two extensions, making my £18 gate about £50.

Not an easy fit at all!, 20 Mar. 2015

I was very disappointed with this stair gate extension. It clearly states that it is for Lindam stair gates. In the smaller print it claims to be specifically suited for, 'Lindam Sure Shut Gate Extension is compatible with the Lindam Sure Shut Axis Gate'. Unfortunately this has proven to be completely untrue. I have the Axis gate but the end section is simply not quite the right shape to fit into the main Lindam stair gate. As another customer on here says about joining the Munchkin Lindam extension with the main Lindam stair gate, 'The amount of force and effort it took to get them together has ruined the edges of the gate and the extension so there is no hope separating them again.' I myself would have sent this product back but realised I probably couldn't because to assertain that it doesn't fit properly you have to take all the little screws etc out of their packaging and assemble the extension...at which point I realised it wasn't a very good fit. In the end I found that I could...
