Great item for what it is designed for..but do you know what its designed for?, 4 Feb. 2014

Ok, i love this item. I found it really easy to use, and not the much of a hassle to put up and down, or to hop over.

My wife hated it. She found it really hard to use, and loads of hassle to put up and down, and she couldn't hop over it.

Since im writing the review..im going to give it 5 starts, as it works exactly as i expected it to in my mind.

What is is NOT:

Its not a gate.

It wont work on funny angles very well (if at all)

It wont open and close and still stay there. Its either up in place or down on the floor (or in your hand).

Its not attached to the walls by any screws (a plus as it means no screw damage to stuff) - but the pressure fit might cause the item to pull off paint off walls.

It's not for everyone - if you or your family memebers are at all impatient, move on swiftly.

It does exactly what I expected, 16 May 2010

As a grandmother of 2, 20 and 11 months old, and not wanting my house to look as it did when I had my own children, this travel gate has lived up to my expectations. I knew it would not open and shut, but I have found when I put it at the bottom of the stairs that I can step over it. My 20month old grandson has tried to move it, but happily without success as the gate fits firmly in place. It did take some time initially putting it up, but I can do this quickly now. Once my childcare duties are over, I can fold it into the carry case and put it into the cupboard, returning my home to normal. I am extremely pleased with his product.

It folds up like an umbrella so takes up hardly any room when packed. Bought this to stop our dogs jumping out of the motor home when the door is left open and we are out side talking to people or working ion the kitchen area. It fits all sizes and so easy to adjust and move around and take up and down. Very strong mesh as well so a good all around product.
