We bought this to secure our Mothercare (Lindam-compatible) playpen to the wall - our son is now 2 and no longer uses the pen but it makes a great surround for the fireplace. It is far better looking, in my opinion, than the other safety gates that we browsed (most of which were black and had the appearance of a barbecue grill).

It may seem obvious but it is worth mentioning that one of these is enough to fix a playpen on 2 sides (i.e. it comes with 2 attachments).

If you have masonry/brick walls, be prepared for a lot of drilling - each side of the kit has 7 screws to attach. No doubt this increases the strength and safety of the mount.

I should also warn you that if you have a Dado Rail this kit will be a pain to fix. The base lies flush against the wall and the outer attachment slides down this base like a sleeve. The base unit must be fixed to the wall first, after which the outer piece is slid down. The base has to be fixed at the right height. Our Dado Rail was...

Is fit for purpose. We had to add on a wood block to make fit as you can't adjust outside the playpen dimensions, as using as a room divider. We only used 3 of the panels and it is okay. A bit wobbly, so not ideal if your LO likes to shake things (like our 15 month old). The only solution to make it more stable would be to secure with some sort of bracket to the floor I guess?The mounting kit seems pretty strong in itself though

Product arrived swiftly but when we opened the box the product was damaged. One of the brackets was broken. The fixing bracket that secures to the wall was snapped. We needed the fixings immediately and so had no option of returning them. They 'will do' but if you are not in a hurry make sure you check the product and return if broken.
