Totally amazing!!
I am mum of 6, and been a mixed nappy user over the years. I always use muslins with the newborn fold for first 6 weeks to 2 months, and actually enjoy it. It helps me know really how much they're wetting and therefore how much milk they're getting, and their sort padded bottoms are just so cute. Then I used shaped washables with first 2, then they needed replacing. The replacement Ichose was a top end shaped soft terry style with a built in fleece liner, but for some reason this didn't agree with my kids, they got sore around the legs where the elastic was from too much kicking, plus my third had digestive issues which meant 10 dirty nappies a day. I had to use disposable for the first few weeks as baby was so little, but once she turned 8 weeks old we went washable. I have to admit it took a few days to build my confidence with them. They are fiddly at first, but a little practice was all it took. After disposable I was nervous about how long they'd last, and whether they would leak, so I changed them every 2 hours at first, but now finding I can go longer. The really cool thing is that the white inner layer feels virtually dry, but when you remove the inner, it's heavy and sodden! You could get away with using the outer and changing the pocket only on the odd occasion. I bought brightly coloured washable liners so poo is not a problem either. They are fleecy and soft, trap away moisture, and the bright colours are more forgiving with staining. The nappies wash well and dry quickly on the line or in the tumble dryer. Very very pleased...
