We had 2 Ear / Forehead Thermometer in use and another tested short time and were not satisfied with any. The values ​​were just too inaccurate.
But this Infrared Thermometer showed on our child with fever exactly the same temperature as the measurement with a normal thermometer under the arm - but in a few seconds instead of 1.5 minutes. You can choose Fahrenheit or Celsius. The thermometer saves the last measurements, so you can look them up later.

Such a useful product for such a small price. It's amazing how this contactless thermometer technology has dropped in price in recent years. But despite the very low cost the Chinese have manufactured this without compromising on performance.
No it's not the most fashionable looking piece of technology I've reviewed recently and perhaps the design could have been a little better. Like the batteries being put in from beneath the handle , via a flap, for example rather than in it?
But, having said that, this is not a fashion item but a practical one, which in reality could potentially help save a child's life (or anybody's for that matter).
You may wish to substitute the supplied AAA batteries for a longer lasting branded alternative that you trust not to leak. It is claimed that batteries will last up to 40000 usages. Clearly I have not verified that but if this is going to be sitting unused I think I'd feel...

This thermometer runs on two AAA batteries and the first set is supplied in the box. This Thermometer is made of plastic but it seems plenty solid enough for everyday use. The hard plastic surface is easy to wipe down with a cleaning wipe and keep sterile. This thermometer seems accurate to me based on tests that I performed on family members and around the house. It's nice because there is no waiting several minutes to get a temperature because it gives you a reading right away.
