Good shelving but can't be fully used if you have thicker skirting, 13 Oct. 2013

First off, good shelving. Went together quite easily, feels sturdy when set on the wall (the feet really help with this) and looks the part.

Now the bad. If you have 'normal' skirting boards (125mm tall, 18-20mm thickness, or more) the very short legs that go onto the bottom of the shelving won't work, because the bottom shelf doesn't protrude far enough out. I swapped the short legs for the normal long struts at the bottom, thus giving me enough height to come above the skirting boards before the first shelf comes into play. What this means though is that I don't have enough struts left to use all the shelves, so each of mine (I bought two) now stand a shelf less than intended.

It's not drastically bad (it is only one shelf after all) but its definitely worth noting. The gap between the shelves and the wall is about 10mm, give or take, so if your skirting is thicker than that be sure to check that either your skirting is low enough so that the short legs come...

Fantastic shelves, 21 Mar. 2012

Not only are these shelves aesthetically pleasing and modern looking, but they are incredibly easy to put together and install. I was able to un-box and assemble the shelves alone, in less than half an hour. It would be easier to have a second pair of hands, but it's not essential. You can store so much in a small space with these, each shelf can hold 20 DVD cases. I have added a picture of my installed unit to the user pictures. I can highly recommend this product and I'll likely be getting a second one for me ever growing collection.

Unobtrusive storage solution, 25 Dec. 2012

Well made and simple to erect and fix. By screwing together the main chromed supports either side of the tempered black glass shelves the unit effectively rests on the floor which means the wall fixing acts only as a restraint rather than having to bear the weight of the full loaded unit.As a previous reviewer mentioned it would have been preferable for the inclusion of thick rubber washers either side of the glass plates rather than metal on glass contact (although I'm not knocking off a star for that). The metal supports however are radiused at their ends which minimises the surface contact area and so long as the supports are not screwed too tightly there shouldn't be a problem. All in all a good CD/DVD/Blu-ray disc storage solution which takes up a minimal amount of space. Recommended.
