Slightly awkward to use and not totally effective, 12 Jun. 2015

I have previously bought the Earol and Aculife ear wax removal syringe kit and I have to say that I found the Aculife syringe much easier to use than the Macks syringe. I found the Macks syringe quite awkward to use. It is a concertina effect bottle which you have to compress quite hard to get the water to spray into your ear. As you are doing this while trying to also hold a container under your ear to catch the water, this was not easy. The Aculife syringe is like a conventional syringe where you fill it with water, insert in your ear and then depress the plunger. I found that it is much easier to depress a plunger, than to compress the Macks plastic bottle. Both syringes have exactly the same tips so both dispense water in the same way, it is just a question of one being less awkward to use. I found that both syringes work to a degree; they will remove some wax but not all. In the end I still had to get the nurse at my local surgery to syringe my ears to get all the wax out. I have...

Fantastic bit of kit, 22 April 2015
Fantastic bit of kit. I used it with 'cleanears wax remover' and together they unblocked my waxy ears. I normally have to go the doctor every 4 months or so take time off work etc but I managed to do it myself using these products. Nice bit of kit, you can get a good bit of pressure depending on how hard you squeeze it and if you soften the wax first and give your ears a good few blasts it's amazing just how much wax comes out. A bit gross but I thought I'd tell it how it is. Would definately recommend.

I had used ear drops for about a week and my left ear had become completely blocked and was very uncomfortable. Some of the applications had been quite painful so I was rather apprehensive about using the syringe. It did the job very well, no discomfort at all.Excellent result for me.
