I am relatively slim everywhere except for my bump. I'm 5 foot 8 inches, with broad shoulders so I usually buy a size 14 to accommodate this, although I am fairly slim otherwise. As such, I had to get the XL size for my height. This coat is very bulky. I would say that it is very warm so if appearances don't matter then this would be a great choice. Unfortunately the "leather" is very cheap looking and the sleeves aren't at all fitted. The quilting on the fake leather sleeves also makes it look like a game keeper's coat. The belt screams cheap.The shoulders are far too big and the thickness of the fabric makes me whole body look absolutely enormous. Up til now I have been complimented on how slim I look compared to my bump, but this coat really did make me look like a very frumpy whale.What a shame.I am returning it and resigned to borrowing one of my Dad's barbours - trendy it may not be, but if I am going to look fat and frumpy, I'd rather do it for free!
