The ergonomics of this bath are spot on. It supports a completely passive newborn perfectly, and continues to support them lying down as they get older while still allowing enough room for them to kick their legs and splash with their arms. The bit that the baby's back is on when it is lying down is slightly textured so they aren't slipping about everywhere, and there is a "max level" guide line to help prevent overfilling. Once they can sit up it supports "bumbo style" in the middle giving them something to lean on. The bath also is just the right size to fit nicely inside a full-sized bath, with a secure screw-in draining plug which makes it easier to empty and doesn't leak if you are bathing elsewhere. There are two little sections at the head end for sitting bottles/soap on while bathing as well, which is useful.
