Confortable but could be improved, 21 May 2012

I purchased this carrier hoping it would be comfortable and lightweight.It is easy to put on, the safety feature on the belt buckle gives extra security and the built-in infant seat allows you to use it from birth.The padding on the straps and in the waist belt is excellent, although I was hoping for a better back support system to alleviate pressure on shoulders, I guess it just takes time to get used to carrying baby and using certain muscles in your back to hold her up! For now my carrying is limited to short walks in town, but once baby is old enough to be carried on the back I believe this will change.ONE THING: do get the teething pads as accessories, my baby immediately started suckling on the straps as soon as she was in the carrier, so the pads are the single accessory worth buying. I go the Ergo ones since they are cotton and not fleece as the Fumbees.Baby appears to be comfortable in the carrier and falls asleep easily.

Essential... No buggy required!, 15 Sept. 2013

I cannot rave enough about this carrier! I bought it for my third daughter who was an extremely fussy baby. I couldn't really put her down during the day, but she was always happy and settled in the Manduca - I was comfortable too - even though she was 98th percentile on the height and weight charts!

I bought the Manduca when she was about 3 months old -I was getting frustrated with the Moby wrap - as she grew, it seemed to stretch during use and I was forever having to re-tie it. The Manduca, by contrast, was easy to put on and take off, and the two sets of buckles are genius, allowing you to fine-tune the fit of the carrier easily once the baby is 'on board'.

By this age, my daughter was big enough to use the carrier without the newborn insert, so I can't comment on that feature.

I used to carry her in it whilst pushing my (lazy) 3 year old and 2 year old in a double buggy 'off road' on daily hour-long dog walks. So it is very comfortable!

An essential piece of baby equipment., 9 Mar. 2015

This is a really well made, good looking carrier. It allows me to take my baby out and bout without the inconvenience of a pram. It also means I can get on with things around the house whilst 'cuddling' my baby at the same time. For my daughter the carrier is magical and within seconds of being put into it, she will drop off into a deep sleep. She always seems very comfortable in it but to begin with I got terrible back ache using it. I found that I had the back straps too loose and when everything was tightened the back ache went away.
