The shoulder straps are not part of the replacement cover., 23 Nov. 2012

My cabriofix car seat had been left in our garden shed and although carefully wrapped up had been eaten by mice. Some of the stuffing was chewed out, it was covered in mouse droppings and the straps had been gnawed.I ordered the replacement cover after reading all the review about how brilliant it is. And it is! The seat looks fantastic, is of good quality and is an exact replacement to make your old seat look like new. The only problem for me is the straps are part of the chair and not part of the cover. The pictures available when you order this product only show it as a completed seat with no pictures of the cover on its own. Disappointingly I was unable to use it so I sent it back and ordered a brand new seat instead a few days later so no problem. If your straps are damaged then the replacement cover is not for you!!!! I have still scored it a 4 as I couldn't fault the item, if my straps had been intact it would have been perfect.

A good quality direct replacement cover. I had no problems fitting it to the base, and it feels nicely padded. I am confident it will last very well.

Like New!, 2 Feb. 2012

Having been given a secondhand car seat that had been well used for a year, like any Mum to be, I thought I'd have to buy a whole new one to give my little bundle a clean place to sit, but this seat cover has made the seat look brand new at a third of the price of new. I just wonder why you can't by them from the major Maxicosi stockists???
