Nice contents but a disappointing gift, 25 Nov. 2014

This Tatty Teddy gift set consists of five items packaged together in a plain brown cardboard box. As this is sold as a gift set and most likely given as a present, then the presentation is disappointing, especially when considering the hefty price tag.

The contents are of a good quality but some are nicer and more useful than others. All of the contents can be purchased separately so if you are looking to buy a newborn girl a gift, then it might be better to buy the items you want separately. The items are:

This is a soft and cuddly bear which opens out to become a blanket which fastens back up with velcro. A great comforter for a baby...

A good idea, but flawed..., 15 Nov. 2014

There are some nice items in this set, but unfortunately they were just bundled together in the box - as a 'gift set' (costing £50) I would expect it to be packaged better - please be warned of this if buying it as a gift.

Also, this is supposed to be a set for a girl, and I see there is also a boys set. The only difference, according to the photos, is the colour shirt on the buggy toy. However, my set did not come with the pictured buggy toy - instead it was a small teddy, with no shirt. Everything else is neutral, so would be suitable if the sex is not known, but again, be warned that most are not getting the buggy toy - but if you did, it may be in a pink or blue shirt. Again, not very helpful if you're choosing a gift.

As for the individual items.. the two teddies are the quality you would expect from Tatty Teddy - the larger bear folds out into a very soft blanket. This would probably be more appreciated by toddlers than babies though, as for a baby you...

Lovely individual items but disappointing finishing touches, 7 Nov. 2014

Positives:

The teddy/blanket is beautifully soft and cuddly. It is a very tactile material with a creamy white blanket that is neatly tucked back to become the teddy's tummy with a Velcro fastening. Over time the Velcro might get fluff and thus it will become a blanket with attached head but that will be after much love from baby/toddler.

The little tatty teddy cuddly toy is already a firm favourite and much loved!

Although advertised as a girl's set I can't see why as all the items seem pretty universal as the extra items have red, spotty trim and tatty teddy imagery. It could be split up as gifts for a variety of children both girls or boys

The keepsake book has envelopes for hospital tags and curls, spaces for photos. The baby photo book is simple to slot in pictures of the 1st birthday party (did have right picture but no caption with My first birthday!) and keepsake box is reasonably sturdy a tight fit for bigger birth certificates but keeps them well...
