The quality of these items are lovely, very soft and snugly. The set comes with a small blanket (which folds into the large teddy), a mini teddy, a small photo album, a keepsake book and a little tube for keeping the baby birth certificate in. I will note the quality of the books is a little middle of the range and doesn't reflect the asking price at all.Although this is aimed at boys, I see nothing really to state "baby boy" on any of the items, and as most Tatty Teddy items have blue in them, I suppose this could still be gifted for a girl if there are no pink items available. It really does not look obviously boy orientated.I will remark though the asking price is a little high for what this is. I would have priced it at about thirty myself, fifty pounds is a little unreasonable for this, gift sets for babies should nowhere be near this price. Not affordable for most.

Nice Set But You Could Pick Your Own Elements If You Wished, 22 Nov. 2014

I'm afraid I echo the sentiments of other reviewers with my first impressions of this set also being that it is a nice set but not very good value for money for some of the items included and my major bug bear being the very poor presentation of the set. If you were to buy this set in it's current form you would definitely need to purchase a suitable gift box or gift bag as I don't think you would present this to a new Mum in it's current presentation. In fact if you were to buy all of the five items individually that were included in this set;

This was received as an Amazon Vine Review product, which presumably explains why the set arrived in a plain brown box rather than as a gift package. At nearly £50 it would need to be much more attractively presented for even to the most doting grandparent to purchase.

The set is described as suitable for parents of a new born boy, because the teddy featured on every product has a blue nose, and I presume there is a pink nosed set for girls. When are we ever going to get away from this gender stereotyping?! In fact it is perfectly acceptable as a set for either sex.

The contents range from lovely to rather twee in my view. The main item is the teddy that converts to a snuggly small blanket. Lovely texture, really soft and attractive in colour. The velcro conversion works well, and there is an accompanying mini teddy with a squeak to hang on the pram or buggy.

The paper products are much less interesting - a box to put the birth certificate in (why?),...
