Quick read thermometer can be used to take body temperature and read surface temperature of objects. When in forehead mode, hold probe at forehead 1-5 cm. away and press the trigger. Results only take a second. Using the Mode button switch to surface mode to measure the temperature of objects, useful when testing the temperature of milk or other products baby might be touching. I have been looking at the various different non contact forehead thermometers on the market and finally decided on this one. My brother is due to have a child very soon and I think this is perfect for the gift basket I am putting together. The non-contact design is a great idea, no worrying about keep the baby still whilst trying to obtain an accurate reading from the mouth or ear. I like the addition of the alarm and also like that it can be disabled which is perfect when taking the temperature of a sleeping child. The item fits nicely in the hand and has a good weight to it. It appears to be of a top quality which I feel would equal that of the more expensive options out there. The settings menu is easy to access and navigate, it has a large clear LCD display and simple controls. It gives you the option of Centigrade or Fahrenheit depending on your preference and as far as I can tell it appears to be completely accurate. This MeasuPro IRT 350 Non-contact Forehead and Surface Thermometer comes presentably boxed and in the package you also get a carry bag and well written instructions. The batteries (2 AAA cells) are pre-fitted. The device itself looks and feels well made with a large back-lit LCD display and simple controls plus it can be set to read in Centigrade or Fahrenheit and weighs in at under 100g. The MeasuPro Non-Contact Forehead and Surface Thermometer is a product that actually works much better than I was expecting. The thermometer needs two AA batteries (which are supplied) and it comes with a storage pouch and an easily understandable manual. It is very easy to use – really just point and shoot – and gives a reading very quickly with simple switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit as required. The thermometer features dual modes - in forehead mode just aim the probe at the forehead from a distance of 1-5 cm and press the trigger, it only take a second for the reading to be displayed on the screen. The “Mode” button can be used to switch to the surface mode to measure the temperature of objects or liquids, which may be useful when testing the temperature of milk or other baby products.
