As many reviewers have said, this is a very thick cream and you may struggle to get it out of the tube. I found it a bit easier to remove the cap as it was slightly narrower than the tube itself. It is also a little easier to get out if kept in a warm room. I think the manufacturer would have fared better in the reviews if the opening had been a little bigger to ease dispensing. If you are having trouble it might be worth checking the use-by date, whilst this product shouldn't dry out, the properties may deteriorate over time.

The ease of dispensing aside, I thought this was a good product. You cannot compare this to general skin-care creams and lotions, they are usually designed to soak in and leave no residue whereas this leaves a greasy residue behind that forms a protective barrier, whilst moisturising and soothing damaged or injured nipples, and it does just that.

The cream is a slight yellow colour and some reviews say there is a slight unpleasant smell to...

Wow - Superb!!, 12 Sept. 2013

I had really thick, hard skin on the heel of just one foot. It has been there for years and I was unable to file it down enough for it to look normal. Occassionally it would split, which was so painful and managed to look even worse. After it split the last time I was able to cut away a lot of the hard skin (I know, I'm not supposed to do this!!) and then used the Medela cream to repair the split. After just two applications the split had repaired, though was still tender to the touch. Now two weeks later, with regular applications, I don't have a mutant foot anymore!!! The split has repaired and apart from a slight indentation where it was, it looks perfectly normal now.Yes the cream is very hard to get out of the tube as it is so thick and sticky, but worth every second of the struggle.Also, smell wise it is not overpowering or too sickly sweet.I can't recommend this product enough.

The best I've tried!, 2 Dec. 2012

I love this product, you can really see the difference in your nipples (or wherever you apply it). It's a little bit difficult to squeeze the cream out of its packing, but this is normal and due to its thick texture. The contents are simply pure and natural and there is no need to wash before breastfeeding - what can you expect more? Highly recommend it to any woman who is breastfeeding or simply want to moisturise any rough skin.
