The porous structure of the Sontara non-woven fabric ensures air and water vapour permeability. The fabric is flexible, conforms well to body contours, and allows body movements when in place. The fabric is non-absorbent and provides a barrier for blood and fluid strike-through. The polyacrylate adhesive has been designed to be gentle to the skin and at the same time provides provide secure fixation. The wound pad can absorb moderate amounts of wound fluids and the low-adherent wound contact layer reduces the risk of adherence to the wound. The easy-to-remove protection paper permits sterile application, as well as simplifying dressing application.

These are far superior to the own brand products in supermarkets and, in my view, to the widely advertised products such as Elastoplast and Band-Aid.
They are easily applied and stick well without the "rucking-up" that is so annoying with dressings, when they stick to themselves instead of to the skin. They are resistant to coming off in the shower yet peel away readily when you want to remove them.
The dressings are thin and therefore as unobtrusive as these things can be. The dressing pad is absorbant and fine for wounds that are exuding only a little. If you need a dressing that has to absorb plenty of fluid, look to another of this firm's products. We used them to protect large blisters before and after they had burst and they were superb for this.
