This is a beautiful cot, but please be aware that it is a flat pack and very heavy – the pack says 27kg.

The instructions for putting it together are easy to follow and all parts, screws, etc, are in the box – all you are required to add is a screwdriver and some energy.

It took 3 of us over an hour to build this, but we were double checking the screws, etc, to ensure that they were tight and that it would not collapse with the precious one inside.

The crib itself is quite lovely in design and once it has been put together it is very strong.

There are 3 levels for base to choose from: the highest is for new born so you have easier access and not have to bend as much and you can then lower the base as your child gets older.

The best thing about a crib like this one is it gives you the opportunity to personalise it yourself for your own child. You can add touches of colour or leave it white.

Snowy white sleigh cot bed, 26 Nov. 2015

This is a very sturdy cot bed with smooth curved edges which look attractive. Beware - the flat pack is heavy (27kg) when it arrives, and takes a while to screw together as you need to be careful not to scratch the white wood surface. Once in place, it is roomy and adaptable as you can adjust up to 3 base heights, according to the age of your child. This system seems much safer than the traditional drop side cot both for lifting your child and for avoiding catching little fingers etc. Eventually the cot can be converted into a child's bed, but we have not yet tried that out. You will need a mattress size 140 x 70 cms, a good luxury spring version is available from Amazon for £35. The manufacturers make another cot version which has a rollaway drawer underneath which sounds useful, but we could not find any way of buying that as a separate item.

Good value, versatile cot bed but could be sturdier, 2 Dec. 2015

Arrived today and was put up in half an hour or so, this is now sitting in baby's room, looking very pretty with its curved ends and feature back. This is a larger sized cot that converts into baby's first toddler bed so you will need to make sure you have a cot bed mattress to fit (140x70) rather than the more standard cot size (120x60). I have a nice sprung mattress which will make this nice and comfy for baby.

The cot looks very nice and feels quite sturdy although the way the sides attach means that they flap a bit so if you have a little one who likes shaking the sides of their cot this may not hold up as well as some other types. It does take up more space than a flat ended cot due to the curved nature of the sleigh design but this adds to the attractiveness and makes the cot look chunkier than it actually is. It should look lovely as a first bed too and will be very easy to convert. I think it will be sturdier as a first bed than a cot as you don't need the sides so...
