Motorola MBP50 Video Baby Monitor with Large 5-inch Full Colour Curved Parent Display Unit is available in Baby Monitors

The Motorola MBP50 Digital Video Baby Monitor comes with a baby monitor and a portable 5" Colour LCD curved screen serving as the parent unit. Offering a remote pan, tilt and zoom providing a 270 degree view of your baby's room in real time via the parent display unit, this is also great to use at night with the infrared night vision capability. The two way audio communication is a great way to speak to your little one and be heard, while you sit back and listen to their replies in baby tongue. The MBP50 comes with pre-installed soothing lullabies to ease your baby to sleep and relax, while the handy temperature monitor lets you keep an eye on the room temperature.

The MBP50 Digital Video Baby Monitor has a useful range of up to 300 metres with an out-of-range warning, allowing you to move around the house or the garden comfortably, knowing that you will hear when your little one is awake. When being used in battery mode, the screen will go blank after two minutes of inactivity, at which point the unit enters a power saving mode. Data encryption is integrated as standard for added security.

instructions and a nice size monitor (which is let down by poor resolution ..., 1 Mar. 2017

Considering its price i was interested to compare the MBP50 with my existing MBP853 Connect. Both offer similar features and have HD camera's but the little differences make one of them stand out above the other. The camera wasn't well packed and moves around in its box and as others have stated there was no user manual only a quick start quide. Inside the box is the camera, instructions and a nice size monitor (which is let down by poor resolution and camera angle.)

With other baby monitors i have used and tested I have found the monitors to be a weak point with poor resolution and low quality so at first glance i was glad to see a large 5" monitor but on closer inspection it has the same 480x272 resolution as the 3.5" monitor that comes with the MBP853. The monitor itself is built well and has a good battery life but i'm yet to see any benefit from the slightly curved screen. For some reason they've moved the position of some of buttons on the monitor even they...

A good offering, with some less than essential features, 20 Mar. 2017
These products have to do a lot with customer expectations. Before purchasing, think about why you are buying this. Do you need a camera to manually switch on and look at the baby to assure yourself she is ok? If this is it, then this product is excellent. Good camera, good resolution, sturdy construction and adequate features (motion control, energy performance etc). If on the other hand you want a constant alert function, this will be offered here, but ask yourselves why? It is disruptive to your sleep to have the camera alert you every time the baby makes the slightest move. Also, if the baby is upset, would you really rely on playing ambient sounds off the camera?I recommend this product, because I really like the screen and the intuitive use. I do not care much about the various add-ons.

USEFUL VIDEO BABY MONITOR....BUT NO INSTRUCTIONS., 15 Feb. 2017

MOTOROLA MBP 50 VIDEO BABY MONITOR WITH LARGE 5 INCH CURVED PARENT DISPLAY UNIT

As my daughter has one young child and another shortly to arrive, I thought this video monitor would be ideal for her to test and review. She used a sound onlybaby monitor extensively for her first baby and therefore knew exactly what to look for and determine how good this video model proved to be.

This then is her review...

The Motorola MBP50 is the second baby monitor we have used as for our first child we opted for a sound only activated monitor. We felt some monitors that detect movement and heartbeats etc were overkill. In hindsight it was difficult to gauge when to let the baby try to settle themselves against going into their room at every murmur. Expecting our second child were pleased to have the opportunity to test this video monitor as we thought it would be advantageous to check what the baby(and toddler) were doing when they cry, before going in to settle...
