One of our best baby buys, 30 April 2016

This was one of our best buys. We didn't purchase it until our baby was around 3months old as we wasn't sure if we'd need something like this or whether it was just another gimmicky baby thing to waste money on....its not, it is lovely. The music is calming and soothing, the night light changes colours and projects stars, which are not coloured and do not move but change formation. The settings are great, although we tend to just use the music rather than nature sounds etc. I bought this with the intention of putting it in the cot however it is BIG...so it stands just across from the cot so my daughter can see it but its not in her face...literally. Overall I think its well worth the money and will be used for many years to come.

I'm writing a review as I think some buyers have given bad reviews because of something they might not have realised. It comes with 3 AA batteries as a temporary measure for when displayed/tested in shops but you need to change to C batteries. I left the AA ones in for a day or so and the lights within the mirror went first, then the other bits. Once I changed to the proper batteries it worked fine so maybe that is why some people have said the lights stopped working. Anyhow, I like it but I would prefer it if the ceiling lights were a little more exciting e.g. faded in and out (well they do a tiny bit when the other light settings change just because they're close by) or had a colour changing LED bulb. I was initially looking for something that played music and projected moving stars on the ceiling. I did't find anything (with good reviews) that fitted the bill so went for this. My 5 month old likes staring at the mirror, I assume because of the lights in the mirror itself. The music...
