The best teats and bottle system, 15 Sept. 2015

My newborn has had been suffering from wind build up and Colic. I haven tried Tommy Tippee which have been rubbish. The teats are inconsistent and even though they have a anti colic valve my little one still suffered and lots of milk got wasted. The next system I tried were Philips Avent system. This was slightly better, but still my little one was building way too much wind and was suffering.

So I was on search for these NUK system which I can across at hospital where the midwives gave a bottle of SMA with NUK latex teat. I remembered my baby instantly latched on and she was happy. So I decided to buy these and give them a go. I bought size one with medium flow hole. There are three flow types available (Small, Medium, Large) with two sizes - 1 for newborns and 2 for 6 months and above.

On the first try with these NUK silicone teats my baby latched on instantly once again, no milk wasting and no unsettling wind or colic. Great result. The teats have a small hole for the air...

NUK bottles are the best - these arrived very quickly and I have no issues with them at all. Dishwasher safe, easy to put formula into (some bottle brands have narrow necks so tipping scoops of formula into them is a nightmare).

I'm a mother and used to be a nanny. Have always used these bottles over others as they're so useful for both tiny babies and for transitioning to big-kid cups.

A few tips I've learned from using NUK bottles for a while:

- if your baby is having some trouble taking the bottle, try using the latex teats instead of the silicone ones. The bottles automatically come with silicone teats size 1, but you can order the latex ones separately.

- if baby's screaming through feeds, particularly at the start of one, s/he might be frustrated with not enough milk coming out. Again, these bottles automatically come with size 1 teats which have a medium hole. You might want to try buying (separately, sorry) some teats with a Large size hole. You can...

we were using other bottles before these and out little one would not take the teats we changed to these bottles and teats and she has been taking like no tomorrow., the slow drip teats are perfect for her as well and touch wood the anti colic elements are working like a dream
