Good. We used the bumper around the top of the cot help my son with headbutting issues, he's 3. The ties were very useful but a couple easily broke when pulled I found these bumpers well padded but I would not use them as traditional bumpers as it could hinder a baby's breathing.

It doesn't have a lot of padding. Have to be extra careful baby still won't bump head. Wish I'd gone for a more padded one.
