From ancient tradition to this day, the soap is stirred in copper cauldrons then cut out and stamped by hand before it is left to dry in the sun for 6 - 9 months to reach maturing....... having been told of this by a friend i had to try it and took into consideration a review by someone who suffered from psoriasis, unlike me who simply has aging dry & sensitive skin that i want to preserve as long as possible. i have not been disappointed. i use the soap for showering, the occasional bath and sometimes wash my face with it. i don't have to moisturise every time i shower now, which is such a boon for me, i shower twice a day but only need to moisturise once, and maybe even to dispense with that later on. the soap is a huge chunk which i found quite difficult to handle at first as i have small hands, but as i use an exfoliating sponge it was simply a matter of adapting, now its shrunk in size after about 6 weeks and is more than manageable.
i have told a friend of this soap as she has very bad psoriasis. also, i expected the shower to need more effort to clean off the deposits but that has not been the case.
wonderful and will be great for holidays no more...
