In my time, I've tried quite a variety of products to apply to the skin before shaving. Of them all, shaving oil definitely gives the smoothest, most trouble-free result. Some years ago, I settled on an oil that I liked a great deal -- then they stopped producing it! Thereafter, I tried others that weren't quite so good. Now, I've finally found one that's even better. It prepares my skin for a really comfortable shave, and leaves my skin delightfully smooth afterwards. It says "Lavender, Geranium & Lemon", and that's exactly the way it smells. A delight for both my nose and my skin. I'm staying with this for as long as they continue to produce it. (Note to the makers: please, please, please don't ever delete this excellent product!)
