OXO Tot 200 ml Training Cup (Green) is available in Sippy Cups

Help ease the transition from sippy to regular cup with the OXO Tot Training Cup. A translucent lid insert with perforations around the perimeter controls the flow of liquid when your child tilts the cup to drink. A tipped training cup will also spill more gradually to minimise messes during the learning process. When tot is ready, remove the perforated lid insert and the training cup converts to a regular cup. Soft, non-slip grips are easy for little hands to hold and the transparent cup shows just how much is left. All OXO Tot Sippy, Straw and Training Cup lids are interchangeable. Suitable from 12 months. Complies with BS EN 14350 safety standard.

Useful cup for toddlers not ready for standard cups, but growing out of beakers, 6 Oct. 2015

My little boy was around 18 months old when I bought this, and he was in that awkward phase between using beakers and straw-based cups, and standard plastic cups. The concept of the OXO Tot Training Cup is that it is held like a standard, 'big boy' cup, but it slows the flow of fluid by way of a perforated lid, which allows trickles through...instead of the gushes that leave your child, and their clothes, soaking wet.

Overall I am pleased with the cup - it came nicely packaged, it looks fantastic and modern, the green colour is bright, and it feels very well made. You can also remove the perforated lid and use as a more standard cup when your toddler is ready for that (mine isn't quite, and is now 2 years old). The soft plastic inserts on the side make it easier for a child to grip, and the size/shape of the container is just right for my little man.

I suppose my only negative is that the water does still come out very fast when tipped up - slower than a normal...

Love it!, 4 Jun. 2012

I rather apprehensively purchased two of the Oxo training cups to wean my tot off bottles. He uses sports bottles for his water and juice and will drink from a cup with help. I wanted something that would allow him to be independent without the fear of a complete milk catastrophe! I absolutely love these, they do slow the flow down and he can drink from them with minimal supervision. He loves that he's being a 'big boy' and he has gone straight from bottle to cup with no bother at all. The biggest difference between these and a 'normal' open cup is that even if he tips it all the way up the liquid simply can't come out quickly enough to completely drown him/carpet/etc. and he's learnt almost instantly to take care when drinking from it. Can't recommend it enough, I only wish I knew about them...

Not useful, 26 Oct. 2010
I saw the product video and thought this was a great idea and something that I could use at meals times while closely supervising my child. However I did not realise how big the holes are. They let a lot of liquid through and I don't believe that it is any different from drinking from a normal cup.
