This is a hard plastic divided plate with a coloured, grippy plastic base. It has three outside sections - one for protein, one for carbs, one for vegetables (twice as large) and one center section for dipping sauce. It's a great plate to use for finger food lunches when baby self-feeds and the divided segments are helpful for portion proportions. Durable and well made, it also comes with a ring that locks on the outside of the plate to assist children in getting food onto utensils.
The plate does its job well, however my daughter occasionally throws it around (tossing all her food on the floor). It doesn't work with a suction mat from another company that we have to keep dishes attached to our high chair tray, so I just sit very close with my reflexes at the ready to prevent a finger food shower. I don't use the plate for dishes like spag bol, sheppards pie, etc. I just feed those out of a normal baby bowl as I feel like the sections wouldn't be helpful with meals that are...
