Brilliant swaddle, 6 April 2014

We started out swaddling with large muslin sheets at about two weeks old, which along with white noise helped our baby girl to sleep. However it was a pain to do, particularly in the middle of the night, and at about four weeks she was wriggling so much that she started to be able to get her arms free and pull the muslin over her head. After lots of research online I found Truewomb swaddles, and it has been brilliant. Unlike other swaddles which focus mainly on the arms, her legs are kept comfortably froggied which seems to help with gas, but she can also stretch them out when she wants. She seems to prefer the arm position of this swaddle too - rather than being stuck by her side's she can still move them up and down over her chest within the arm pouches but her startle response is prevented and she can't scratch herself. The swaddle is very secure, she's a terrible wriggle but she's never escaped, and it's so much easier to put a wriggle baby into this than pin her down to wrap in a...

Our 4 1/2 month old wont sleep if his arms are free. This solved the problem. He has his legs stretched out in it but arms are tucked away. Only negative point is dont think it will fit until he's 6 months. Hope there is a bigger size!
