Best bottles ever, 11 Sept. 2012

I have got 2 of these bottles 1 is clear the other is red. They are fantastic and i have had no problems with them in my gerbil and hamster cages. The bottles contains instruction on it and if these are followed correctly then the will be the best bottles ever. What you have to do is fill it up to the top then after you have put the lid on you should tip it upside down and shake it. This creates a non leak vacum in the bottle as they are fitted with a twin ball to help stop leaks. I love these bottles and would definately recommend them and would buy them again if needed.

Hanging mechanism very poor and forces the bottle to be too upright causing leaks and access problems., 26 Jan. 2015

Had really hoped the majority of reviewers had it right with this one - as it is so highly rated, but I think this is a very poor bottle. Firstly, the hanging mechanism came packed inside the bottle which was tricky to remove. Secondly, that mechanism is a very short wire that has no extra length for adjusting the bottle once it's in situ. It was very stiff to wrap around the bottle and then held the bottle so upright that the angle was too steep for my gerbil to drink from. Furthermore, the bottle leaked terribly at that angle. I know to fill the bottle right to full and then to shake a number of times to create a vacuum, which I did, but then each time I tried to attach it with the wire, the manipulation of the bottle caused lots of leakage. I decided that the angle of the bottle had something to do with it, so I have had to wrap a hair elastic around the bottle, and then feed the wire hanger through the front of that to force the bottle to lean back. Now at least it doesn't leak,...

I had a word from my hamster called truffles that she is sooo happy with her new water bottle (as am I!) it does what it says on the tin! (or should that be on the bottle?!) not a bad price and it doesn't keep dripping in the cage like some, so yes happy hamster and owner!!
