Fantastic item and customer service, 3 Mar. 2013
These are a god send to mums who have issues with breastfeeding including latching issues due to engorgement and also to shape of nipples etc.I used medela in my last bout of BF but am very glad TT now do some as I have never been able to fault their products. The seller also gains 5* plus for their fantastic customer service after my parcel was lost by the royal mail depot here and then returned a month later. Full marks for them returning it to me without additional cost just in time for baby's hospital bag to be packed - thank you!

WARNING My baby turned blue 3 times using these...., 10 Jun. 2013
WARNING My baby turned blue 3 times using these as my baby had to suck hard to get the clostridium milk out and the shield folded back over his face over his nose whilst he concentrated on suckling. This happened while I was in the national maternity hospital of Ireland in Dublin and they have since stopped stocking these shields in their hospital shop and they have contacted tommee tippee directly to advise of this incident as in the hospitals opinion there is no such thing as a shield that can "one size fits all nipples". Please do not buy these as it may put your baby's life at risk and I urge Amazon to cease selling them too or to at lease contact Tommee Tippee to investigate same.

Did the job initially, but not a great long term solution, 1 July 2014

My son was struggling to latch on as I have flat nipples, and I was getting stressed out trying to get him to feed, so when the Community Midwife recommended nipple shields I jumped at the idea, anything to get him to feed. These were the first I found and baby latched on immediately, so for a couple of weeks they were an absolute godsend as he was feeding and putting on weight. However, there are a number of issues that I've come across with them. Firstly, they do not stick, despite the directions to moisten them and the nipple, they stay put for long enough for baby to latch on and then the outer area folds back, often over baby's nose, which means I have to spend the entire feed holding the shield back so the poor little thing can breathe. Secondly, they lose shape, mine seem to have warped and the nipple part itself hasn't held its shape well.

In all, they did the job, but I am now moving on to other brands as I think feeding with shields is going to be long term...
