I bought this bumper as a tempory measure to try and stop my daughter from rolling and banging her leg on the side of the cot bruising it. Although I'd read it was 'thin' I found it an ok thickness slightly thinner than the one I already had in the cot but that didn't bother me however I found it too small it won't go round the cot and fix on very well. I didn't send it back as I say I only wanted it to try and stop my daughter from banging her leg and as it's only on the one side she does it I found the solution of doubling it over making it thicker and fixing it that way to the side of the cot and I have to say it does actually do the job. If you have a cot bed like I do for your little one I suggest getting a decent bigger cot bumper.
