Great multi-tool. Does what it says on the tin!

PROS

-multipurpose, and appears to perform all functions well

-good size for a woman to hold

-useful light, especially if you have fine blonde hair or a dimly lit bathroom

-speedy charging and decent usage time (I was able to use mine straight out of the box)

-so easy to take into the shower and foams up nicely with shower gel

-not too loud, it was drowned out by the sound of my shower anyway :)

-easy to clean after use

-the 'soft' function is a nice addition for sensitive souls

CONS (but these are few and far between, so I'm being REALLY picky here!)

-removed most of my hair except a few very fine leg hairs

-be careful when showering if you intend on washing your hair, long head hair can fall into the mechanism and they're not easy to get out

-the foot file attachment was smaller than I thought it would be

-you can't use the device while it's being charged

My old phillips epilator broke a couple of weeks ago after a good 5 year run and I was torn between buying this model as a replacement, of the newer Phillips Satin Perfect one. After a long discussion with a very patient shop assistant I went for this model. Not disappointed!

My old epilator never really gave me smooth legs, but always left me with a stubbly finish. That, and it took HOURS to tweeze everything out. This model takes the hairs out first go, and leaves legs so smooth it feels like they're freshly shaven all the time. The epilator head is on a flexible base so it moves as you move it up and down your legs, which makes it easier to get really short hairs and pluck them up. The gentle cap (although isn't as effective as without it) is really gentle and would be perfect for a first-timer.

I was mostly worried about how long the machine holds the battery as it's a cordless model but so far it's held out the full 40 minutes.

Effective hair removal, 8 July 2013

This item comes with 4 head attachments- a wide epilator head for legs and large areas, a smaller tweezing head for underarms and bikini line, a shaver head and a foot care head to remove dry skin from heels.

You can use this item dry or in the bath/shower. Using it in the bath or shower helps reduce the pain and gives the best results. Before I bought this item I had been using (on and off) a Braun epilator that I had bought around 8 years ago. My old epilator had a single epilator head and could only be used dry. In comparison, this little beauty is much easier, less painful and gives better results.

There is also a 'gentle' cap included that fits over the large epilator head and makes it gentler. This is also quite effective, but to be honest I don't bother using it as it really isn't that painful when you use it in the bath anyway. I would use it if I were dry epiliating.
