Doubtful due to price but really impressed and happy buyer, 28 Feb. 2014

I baulked at paying this much for a hairdryer but my hairdresser insisted that they were fantastic dryers and they last a long time. Initially bought through amazon but 2 consecutive ones arrived with a 2 pin european plug - as this were moulded on, I was reluctant to change it myself. Contacted this supplier who assured me that they sold UK plugged ones and were right.It really does dry quicker and leaves my hair less damaged as a result, I have longish hair and due to the this Parlux it dries so nicely that I only need to use straighteners if I really want poker straight hair. As a result, my hair is in better condition after using this dryer for only 6 weeks.Yes it is expensive but I really love it and actually costs around what I pay for a cut and colour every 2-3 months - well worth it.Go on ladies (and gents) - treat yourself

Light & easy to control dryer, 25 Jun. 2014

Bought this as an Amazon Warehouse Deal as it had damaged packaging. The price was excellent and as it was protected by Amazon's T&Cs, it seemed worth taking a chance on. The packaging had clearly been re-sealed but everything was there & in good shape. The dryer itself is light to hold, the buttons easy to operate, even in use & it's a lot less noisy than my old one (it's got a deeper tone & isn't as screamy as some other makes). It definitely needs to be used with a nozzle attached in order to direct the airflow. The first time I tried it without a nozzle, it blew my hair up the wrong way into a mad fluff (the kind you see on catwalks where the stylist has spent hours achieving the effect!) & it took ages to brush out again. With the nozzle, great control & directed styling. Love the bright green colour, too. Very happy that I made this purchase.

Fab hairdryer best the wife has ever had. Only problem being it only comes with a 6 months guarantee. I asked Parlux why such a short guarantee, and they told me because its a professional salon product and not a home consumer product. They expect it to run 8 hours a day, 7 days a week (2000 hours). So in theory it should last years and years for the average consumer but if it develops a fault after 6 months there could be problems
