Before first use:
Wash cloth nappies in warm water with a small amount of detergent to enhance their absorbency.
For dirty nappies:
Shake nappy gently over the toilet to remove solids.
Remove absorbent pad.
Place soiled nappies in a dry nappy pail - no soaking necessary.
Washing:
Pre-Wash: Cold water, No detergent.
Wash: Regular synthetics cycle, warm water, mild detergent.
Rinse: cold water you can add 3-4 drops of Lavender Essential Oil as natural antiseptic.
Tumble Dry: Low heat or Line drying outside whenever possible, sunlight gives extra freshness and removes stains.
DO NOT use bleach, enzyme cleaners or fabric softeners.
Tip:
Add about 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar to the last rinse, acts as a fabric softener and static cling reducer.
The acid in white distilled vinegar is too mild to harm fabrics, yet strong enough to dissolve the alkalies in urine and detergents left in the nappies.
