My breastfed baby really likes to suck, particularly to sleep, but sometimes it's just not possible to have her sucking on me - for example on a walk! She couldn't work out how to suck other dummies but she got these straight away. I take it out once she's stopped crying or has fallen asleep -that's if she doesn't let it fall out of her mouth herself, which she often does - but until then she is really happy sucking on it. It seems a more natural shape for a breastfed baby to suck on. We've had the dummy since she was about six weeks and are very happy with it, however apparently will need to stop or find another type once she starts getting teeth as these aren't orthodontic.

Love these!, 18 April 2012

When my son was newborn he really liked to suck. However, he refused to suck a dummy. I tried every single kind available in shops in the UK - Mam, Nuk, Mothercare, Boots, Tesco, you name it. He went crazy every time I tried. A friend of mine was given some of these by an American friend and her baby was loving it. As I hadn't tried this type I thought I'd give them a go and bought these. They have been a huge success from day one. I think the teat is smaller and softer so it doesn't feel like a lump of plastic in their little mouths. It is also so sweet to see their little mouth working.

I don't know if this is my baby or the dummies but he is not as obsessed with his dummy as some babies are. I can take it off him and he doesn't mind at all, no screaming fits. It could be something to do with how soft these are. Or it might be nothing to do with it at all!

The postage was a bit high - it was more than the cost of the dummies and they are hardly heavy, nor did they come...

Dont stay in mouth, 21 July 2015
Watch you dont get a defective set, the first lot I ordered were green and they had a hole in the teat. I reordered a different colour from a different company and luckily the ones they sent me had no hole, meaning my baby wouldn't be sucking in air. In most respects, these are fine. I ordered a one piece dummy as I was scared by stories of teats coming off and causing death by choking. They really don't stay in my son's mouth though. They do calm him down and he happily accepts the dummy, but unless he sucks frantically it just falls right out. Having to buy a replacement and just ignore my fears of choking hazards!
