Reliable Avent, 31 July 2015

Avent is a reliable name and this cup is up to the usual high standard, great for growing youngsters.The cup really is non-drip, the spout tough enough to stand up to biting. The screw-on lid is secure and yet easy to remove, the cover for the spout great for travel or just keeping the spout clean. You can see the contents and all parts are dishwasher-safe. It's BPA-free, as you would expect.If there is a negative, it is that, while the handles are useful for younger children, they could be superfluous for older ones and just be in the way.Overall, though, we're very happy with this excellent cup.

It's good, nice that it limits deliberate spills; my little darling likes to turn his cup upside down and pour out his drinks for extra fun; that fun ends now, little boy, with this magic cup, that's right no more splashy splashy games on the table/floor/carpet/bed/other surface of your choice; who's the Daddy! You may have seen a similar review for the smaller size cup, i bought one of each, nothing is too good for my son, except keeping food on a plate or in a bowl, or indeed any sort of fluid in a container, i must say it's with respect to the latter that this beauty of a cup starts to come into it own.

Good when out and about, 2 Aug. 2015

This BPA-free Philips Avent sippy cup is suitable from 18 months and has a capacity of 340ml (12oz). It has a inbuilt valve to prevent leaks so is great for using out and about. It has a bite resistant spout so it should withstand some chewing. The soft grip handles with ridges are great for little hands to grip on to. I would recommend this for occasional use but use a free flow beaker or doidy cup for most drinks as it is better for teeth and developing sipping skills.
