I love them, but it's a question of trial and error, 16 May 2014

I have discovered that parenthood is all a bit of trial and error. You just have to discover what works best for your little one and you. I breast fed our first baby for 7months, and went through 4months of hell when he had colic. Colic is awful for your baby and you.

When we had our second baby I started to breastfeed her also,, but when she showed signs of colic at four weeks I started to combine breast with bottle to see if it made a difference, My daughter latched on to the bottle easily and went back onto the breast no problem at all. However, she would scream and bring back most of her feed from the breast, and just seemed so much more content from the bottle, so I have been using the Avent bottles ever since, and have found that her colic is much better. I have however used the bottles in conjunction with Cow and Gate Comfort milk and have found a significant difference for the better.

I personally really like the Avent bottles. They are really easy to clean,...

Philips Avent...the best we've used., 19 Mar. 2018

My honest opinions...

1. Amongst the cheapest

2. Feel the most well made

3. Easy to dismantle and clean (only 4 parts)

4. Easy to fill (wide bottle neck)

I've used Medela, then Tommy Tippy and now Philips. We stopped using Medela because we couldn't add his medicine to the milk without it getting stuck. They are also extremely expensive. Tommy Tippy measurements wore off the side of the bottles after a couple of weeks rendering then useless. We were breast feeding at first and I can honestly say that if you decide to switch to formula after a few weeks then don't worry and do what makes you feel best. Happy mum, happy baby. That's my motto.

More details...

Firstly the Philips Avent was extremely easy to open, dismantle, clean and put back together. The wide neck of the bottle makes it easy to get a brush in and clean. You'll be cleaning and sterilising them at least daily so this matters a lot. Because of the wide neck it's...

Great non dripping good gripping bottles with Size 1 Teats!, 10 Aug. 2015
Bought these as we needed more for travel and outdoor. Didn't find much difference between these and the classic bottles in terms of my daughter drinking milk. Usual excellent Phillips Avent Quality. Came with Size 1 teats. Unlike another reviewer they fit our Philips AVENT Digital Electric Steriliser well. We have sterilised 3 of these along with the 3 of classic bottles and their caps and teats and it works well. I don't think Philips do that steriliser any more.
