Easy, fast and accurate, 14 Dec. 2016

This is super simple to use. You just press a button and two seconds later you have a number. The device is medically calibrated so you can be confident that it's accurate.I love that batteries are included (two AAA non rechargeable) so you're all set to go.Out of curiosity, I tried pointing it inside a cold freezer and then a hot kettle. It didn't output a number in those cases, it just said 'Lo' or 'Hi'.You likely don't want or need Bluetooth connectivity with your iPhone. It seems… gimmicky and unnecessary.. unless I'm missing something ?

Fantastic thermometer, but the app is unnecessary, 5 Nov. 2016

When my daughter was born we bought a contactless thermometer which you simply hold near the forehead. However, in all honesty, I just don't trust it. I like the old fashioned approach of shoving a thermometer in the ear to get an accurate reading.

I'm not overly concerned about the app and the bluetooth functionality. It's just a bit gimmicky. Unless you are unfortunate enough to have an extremely unwell baby or child, and my heart goes out to you if you do, then there simply isn't really the need to chart your child's temperature via an app.

Gimmicks aside, this is a fantastic little piece of kit. It comes with batteries fitted - always a bonus. It's surprisingly compact and is ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the hand. In fact, it's small enough to conceal in your hand so that you can creep up like a dad-ninja and take your child's temperature before they know what's going on.

Great little product, 22 Nov. 2016

Great product that links to the philips smart app syncs and stores a reading very quickly.Initially I thought why is there no disposable covers so as it is going to be being put in different ears BUT it is super easy to clean and no real need as you don't need to stuff it all the way into your ear to get a reading!
