Jack of all trades, master of none. Imperfect stubble, despite the claim of 'perfect' stubble. Shaving takes ages., 18 Sept. 2013

This product has been used by both my 49yo hubby and 21yo son. They normally share a Philips beard trimmer, and my hubby uses a Philips shaver, but were happy to use a combi product, to save charging up different appliances.

My son used the stubble trimmer, but unlike his regular trimmer, he found that this one trimmed him a little unevenly, as if the comb wasn't picking up all the hairs. He tried again a few days later, with the same results, so he (fake) generously told his dad that he could have this multi-tool.

My hubby has now used the shaver element 3 times, and whilst there wasn't any loss of power during the time it took him to be satisfied with his shave, he ended up spending a lot more time than usual to get all the stubborn hairs. He also tried the trimmer for his goatee once, but again, the trim did not pick up all of the hairs, and it actually yanked his overgrown goatee a couple of times, so he too reverted to the specialist trimmer...

It Looks and Feels a Bit Flimsy, 22 Aug. 2013
I can't envisage that I'd use the full range of attachments that came with this product but I thought I'd have a look at it from the Vine programme and compare it to what I've got. I've gone back and forth from electric razors for years and never been 100% satisfied. When I got this one I switched it on and thought that it was a bit odd to get something where the charge was nearly running out so no problem it doesn't take long. However after charging it up, the motor sounded exactly the same so the heads seem not to be going all that fast. It certainly sounds far more weedy that my Remington razor. The construction also seems very lightweight. A person with a heavier beard than mine might find that this device does not shave them properly. My advice, best have a look at one of these in the shop and handle one as it won't be suitable for everyone.

Lots of options but average quality, 8 Sept. 2013

First impressions are good. The package comes with a main unit which is comfortable in the hand and has a nice grip. There are three main attachments - the standard rotary shaver, a beard trimmer and a body trimmer. There are various length adjustment clip ons and there is a standard charging cable and also a nice bag to store all the bits and pieces.

There is a charge light on the front which shows when full charge has been reached, and also when a charge is needed, but there is no charge remaining indicator. To reach full charge is quick - about an hour or two, and lasts for about half an hour.

The two additional attachments (beard/body) work OK, although aside from trimmer sideburns I don't have much of a use for them. The main item I have used is the standard shaving attachment.

I have to say that whilst offering a much more comfortable shave than my £40 Braun standard foil shaver, it does seem rather underpowered. I find myself going over and over to get a...
